  After the summer holidays, there are new opening times for the Documentation Site at Bremervoerde; Mondays and Thursdays from 9.00 till 13.00 and after prior arrangement.
The Society tries to get financial support from the European Community to arrange, in agreement with the owners and Sandbostel Commune, an archeological examination of the former camp’s grounds.
The Travelling Exhibition is increased by three display boards.
A brochure about an exhibition remembering the Italian military internees is under preparation.
Also a door is examined, where inscriptions can be found made by Ukrainian female forced workers during their imprisonement.
And the Society is naturally still working for it’s aim to install a Memorial Site on the former Camp’s ground at Sandbostel.
Commemoration Meeting on April 29th, 2000 on the Sandbostel Cemetery.
On August 30th, 2000 at 20.00, a performance by two Theatre Companies, „Das letzte Kleinod“ and the Polish „Stacja Szamocin“, took place on the railway station at Bremervoerde. The play „km 14,7“ was about the relations between Poles and Germans during WW2.
In reaction to the Nazi smearings on the Camp’s Cemetary, we did organize a demonstration on the Cemetery on Sept. 1st at 18.00. Please read about this also our Appeal.
From January 13th, 2000 onwards, a poster exhibition covering the resistance during the Third Reich was shown.
